Slides Generator was built from the ground up to be a fast, reliable and comprehensive way to generate Google Slides presentations from Google Docs.
For the past few months, we have focused our resources on designing and building the best experience possible for our users.
We’re so excited to announce a major round of upgrades that collectively make the experience of generating slides much more intuitive, customizable and enjoyable.
Here’s what’s new:
You can now preview each slide in your document before generating the presentation! Even speaker notes are displayed in the previews!
We have worked hard to get our slide previews to represent what you’d see in Google Slides as closely as possible.
This means you don’t have to first generate your presentation to see what it looks like.
Any changes you make to styles are reflected immediately in the slide previews.
This substantially shortens the feedback loop and takes the guesswork out of generating your slides!
Users can now choose from over 1,000 Google Fonts to match your brand or style!
Font weight and font color are now customizable for headings and body text.
Paragraph spacing for body text can now be tweaked in addition to line spacing.
Numbered list symbols can also be independently customized in addition to bulleted list symbols.
Minor tasks can add up quickly when making a presentation.
Such as getting text to fit into their respective text boxes in every slide!
Slides Generator automatically calculates the best font size to fit any given text neatly inside its textbox.
It takes into account the font style, capitalization and many other parameters that might cause text to overflow.
This dramatically reduces the amount of manual tweaking required for all your slides afterwards!
Getting tables into Google Slides can be a fiddly and potentially time-consuming endeavour.
We have added a few improvements to reduce manual tweaking required afterwards.
Merged cells in Google Docs tables will be merged when brought over to Google Slides.
Cell background colors will also be reflected in Google Slides!
Previously Slides Generator was only available in sidebar mode.
We have designed a beautiful large screen mode to cater to users with larger screens.
This means you can work with Slides Generator in large screen mode in one window while having your Google Doc open in a separate window.
We believe in the importance of both form and functionality.
Slides Generator's user interface has been updated to be more modern, user-friendly and intuitive.
Your settings are now saved as you update them, rather than only after you generate slides.
You can view your history of previous conversions so that you can easily access those presentations afterwards.
You can also generate slides into an existing presentation of your choice.
Slides Generator now supports multiple languages. This will be great news for global teams.
New users will continue to receive 50 free slide credits which can be used to generate Google Slides from Google Docs.
For anything beyond that, Slides Generator was previously available only on a monthly or yearly subscription-based model.
To better serve those who use Slides Generator occasionally, we have removed the Slides Generator Plus subscription plan. Instead, one-off slide credits can be purchased without committing to a subscription.
Our Slides Generator Pro and Team plans continue to be available for unlimited access, custom templates and branding.
